Three ways we install your charger

The charger is the easy part — the craft is in how the power gets there. These are the three ways we run it, and we pick the one that fits your home:

3e install — 48A Grizzl-E hardwired with EMT conduit in a garage

Fastest home charging — 48A · ~70 km of range per hour

A 3e install — 48A Grizzl-E, hardwired

EMT conduit — hardwired

Steel conduit from your panel straight into the charger.

The neatest, most permanent install — no plug, nothing loose.

3e project in North York — Grizzl-E charger plugged into a weatherproof box fed by PVC conduit

Plug-in — 40A · ~50 km per hour

A 3e project in North York

PVC + weatherproof box — plug-in

PVC conduit to a weatherproof box with a 14-50 receptacle.

Your charger plugs in — swap it or take it with you if you move.

3e project — TECK armoured cable strapped to a brick wall

A 3e project — TECK run strapped to the brick

TECK cable — armoured

Armoured TECK cable for outdoor and exposed runs.

Across brick, along the house, into the garage — built for Canadian weather.

Before you book

Quick answers to the questions we hear most.

Will I need a panel upgrade for a Wall Connector?

Often not — the Wall Connector can be commissioned at a lower amperage to match the capacity your panel actually has, and where two Teslas share a home, up to six Wall Connectors can power-share a single circuit. A load calculation under the Ontario Electrical Safety Code decides what your service can carry — a 200-amp panel is not always required, and your load check confirms it either way. If your home needs an upgrade, it’s quoted separately, before we start.

Where do I find my 12-month peak demand? Is it on my bill?

No — bills show kWh, not peak demand. Log into your utility account and send us a screenshot or CSV.

Toronto Hydro (Toronto, Etobicoke, North York):

  • Log in at torontohydro.com
  • Open My usage
  • Click “Want to see your peak demand?”
  • Screenshot the 12-month peak and send it to us
  • If that tool isn’t there: My usage → Hourly usage → Download last 12 months CSV → we use the highest hourly value

Alectra (Mississauga):

  • Log in to My Alectra
  • Usage → Usage Overview → Hourly
  • Find the highest hour in the last 12 months, or download the CSV and send it

Stuck? You must be the account holder. New move-in — send whatever months you have. Still blocked — call the number on your bill and ask for your 12-month peak demand / highest hourly interval.

Why do most installs cost more than the starting price?

The starting price covers simple installs — panel right beside your parking spot with a short cable run. Most GTA homes need a longer run, have difficult drilling, wire fishing, and/or additional work on the panel to make safe space for the new circuit breaker and wiring. Either way, your price is confirmed before you book, so there are no surprises.

Do you handle the ESA permit?

Every install includes the ESA permit and inspection. We book it, we meet the inspector, you get the certificate.

Can you install in my condo parking stall?

Often yes. Condo installs need building approval first — send us your building’s requirements and we’ll map out the path.

Wall Connector or Universal Wall Connector?

Both are Gen 3, hardwired units with the same 48-amp output and 24-foot cable. The standard Wall Connector carries a Tesla (NACS) connector; the Universal Wall Connector adds a docked J1772 adapter, so it can charge a non-Tesla EV as well — the sensible pick for mixed-driveway households, or if your next car might not be a Tesla. Either way, the unit is a customer-supplied item: you order it, we install and commission it.

Wall Connectors can power-share a single circuit

Garages, brick walls and rear laneway pads — and for the two-Tesla household, power sharing usually beats a second full circuit. We size the circuit your home can honestly carry, and your car charges the same day.
